To combat these self-limiting thoughts, which usually lead to self-defeating behaviors we must begin to notice such thoughts, dispute them, and replace them! Many times these messages are so engrained that we are unaware of the cruel whispers that tell us “this is as good as it gets” or worse “I will never have what I really want.” If you can imagine a life full of warm connection, self-confidence, and joy, you can begin acting ‘as if’ you already have these things by telling yourself that you are, in fact, confident, successful, and doing the best you can!
